The Story
Meet Miss Lucille
Miss Lucille believed that every cake should carry weight, not just in pounds, but in meaning. Her kitchen was always open, her oven always warm, and her pound cakes always found their way to church functions, family reunions, and neighbors who needed a little sweetness in their day.
When she passed her recipe down, she passed down more than measurements and techniques. She passed down a philosophy: that food made with intention feeds more than the body.
Today, her granddaughter Stacy Joyner-Williams carries on this tradition from Virginia Beach, baking each cake by hand, one pound of love at a time.
